An innovative and participative learning event by
Volunteering Ashford
If you have ever considered becoming a volunteer or helping in your community then this free course will help you understand the voluntary and community sector and your role in it.
In addition, experience as a volunteer can provide you with a reference if you are looking for paid employment.
The course takes place over two days at a venue with good public transport links.
- The course is aimed at helping you;
- Learn about becoming a volunteer
- Recognising your current skills and knowledge and how they can be used for voluntary roles
- Feel more confident about using skills and abilities
- Experience working as part of a team
- Access other learning opportunities
- Develop new skills and enhance current ones
- Identify suitable volunteering opportunities
The next course is on
6th and 7th July 2010 9.30am - 2.30pm at a fully accessible venue in South Ashford.
This course is free and includes lunch and reimbursement of travel expenses.
