Volunteering Ashford provides a service to organisations that would benefit from recruiting volunteers to enhance their service provision. This service is available to public, voluntary and community sector organisations.

Volunteering Ashford provides a brokerage service to public, private, statutory and community organisations who wish to involve volunteers in their work.

Volunteers are matched to volunteering opportunities by coming into our Ashford or Tenterden centres and searching our database for areas of work and activities that match their interests. Most of the opportunities on our database are accessible by visiting the national volunteering website www.do-it.org.uk

Support for Organisations

Volunteering Ashford is able to give support and advice to local volunteer involving organisations. We aim to help organisations setting up volunteer programmes for the first time, and those with complex needs.

In addition we can provide sample policies and procedures to assist you implement good practice and which you can adapt for your own organisation.

Criminal Records Bureau Checks

Volunteering Ashford is a UK umbrella body registered to carry out full Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure checks.

We work with clients from the voluntary, community and commercial sectors offering a cost effective service that takes the hassle out of applying for a disclosure. CRB information.

Guidance on Writing and Creating Volunteering Opportunities

We can offer advice and guidance on writing catchy descriptions of volunteering opportunities.

Training courses

We offer training courses to volunteer involving organisations, current available courses are:

- The Recruitment and Selection of Volunteers
- CRB Checks and Screening Volunteers
- Volunteering and the Law
- Setting up a Volunteering Scheme

We are also able to offer bespoke training courses.

- Pass the details of your volunteering opportunities to possible volunteers
- Provide information, advice and support to help you recruit and manage volunteers in your organisation
- Assist you to develop your volunteer programme
- Provide various training opportunities to help your organisation and volunteers
